Oxydendrum arboreum - Sourwood

One of our favorite native plant specimens for landscape use— sourwood is truly an all season ornamental. Blooms from June to early July in earn-shaped clusters, that seem to smother the entire tree. Its fall color is a brilliant red, but yellow and purple hues have been seen in some collections. Phenomenal native— more apt to well drained sites.
